Superintendent's Message for November 2022
Greetings Charger Nation!
Welcome to November!!!! Time is precious and seems to go faster and faster each year. In a few short weeks, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving and spending time with family and friends.
Fall activities are wrapped up and students have completed the first quarter of their school year. Thanks to everyone who attended parent-teacher conferences to support your child and our student. When working together for the success of students anything is possible. We are off to a great start this year and will be heading into the winter activities with great momentum.
On Sunday, October 16th our school inducted twelve students into the National Honor Society. They were Jessica Metzger, Milanna Primakov, David Crabb, Alivia Curtis, Mariah D’Attilio, Bradley Hobbs, Maddison Howell, Addison McGee, Karcyn Michael, McKinleigh Milledge, McKenzie Snook, and Isaac Sundquist. Congratulations to these students and their parents for their dedication to academics and high character.
Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country Team on their 2022 South Central Conference Championship! The boys captured the team conference title, and they had 4 members in the top 15 (All-Conference). The cross-country teams will travel to Shenandoah for their State Qualifying District Meet. The girl's team ran well and beat three teams they had lost to at the beginning of the season while the boys finished second and qualified as a team for the State meet in Fort Dodge. At State, they finished 14th overall! Great job to the entire team and Coach Horton.
I would like to invite everyone to the High Music Department’s performance of James and the Giant. They have been working very hard and will perform on November 4th and 5th at 7:00 PM and November 6th at 2:00 PM at Johnson Auditorium. Don’t miss it!!
Finally, we are continuing to move forward on the construction projects identified by the School Board that I spoke about last month. This summer we will have a lot of projects being done to improve our buildings and grounds for our students and staff. More to come on this in my future articles.
Thanks for all you do to support our students and our school. Be sure to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to talk about our schools.
GO CHARGERS and THINK BIG !!!
